Do you ever look in your closet and notice that you have a TON of a certain color?
When I look in my closet I see a lot of this.

But what does it mean? I mean, the only thing I love more than clothes is quack psychoanalysis. After googling doing a bit of research, here is what I found.
Green is the color of nature.
It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility.
Green has strong emotional correspondence with safety.
Dark green is also commonly associated with money.

Hmmmn...so how how do I stack up?
Nature: I like the IDEA of nature but not always the application of it.
Growth, harmony, freshness and fertility: Yep, yep, yep, and well, I did just have a baby.
Safety: It has been said that my kung-fu skills are second to none.
Dark green for money: Note to self - buy more dark green!
Healing powers: My cure-all includes a Dr. Pepper, some Nyquil, and a shopping trip.
Improves vision: My poor vision obviously didn't get that memo.
Lack of experience: Between that and the blondeness, life can be a challenge sometimes.
Use green to indicate safety of drug products: Duly noted for future job with drug cartel.
Dull, dark green for money: Note to self - buy more dark green already!

My closet is full of green and blue. I really need to mix things up a bit.
ReplyDeleteAnd by "mix things up" I, of course, mean buy more dark green because I like the sound of that money thing.
I have a lot of yellow and reds and purples. Lately however I have been wearing a lot of grays and blacks. I need to get more colorful maternity clothes.
ReplyDeleteA while back I had the same experience when looking in my closet, except my closet was about 90% filled with items in black. I thought this was odd considering I painted my house in bright vibrant colors...Livingroom = terracotta/fireplace-dark red...Foyer and hallway = Pixie Violet...Communal Bath = Mystic Harbor Blue/grey...Sierra's room = Butter Yellow...Kitchen = Vibrant blue...master bedroom = Dusted Bronze(pumpkin pie-ish) with non-painted rooms chosen out (turquoise/green/peanut butter brown/iced tea yellow/tan) I lived in so many colors it was hard for me to look in my closet and see so much black, while a classic I needed to add color, now my closet is 90% color and 10% black and I LOVE it!!
