Dress like a granny

There is this lady who goes to my church. Her name is Margo, she is probably like 80 years old, and I seriously envy her wardrobe sometimes. She wears the most outrageous stuff but somehow it doesn't look outrageous, it just looks awesome. My favorite was when she wore a two piece swimsuit to a Relief Society swim party. While the rest of us were hanging shyly back, worrying about rolls and cellulite (both real and imagined), Margo whipped off her cover-up and strutted her stuff to the pool. She is unabashed when it comes to fashion, she likes what she likes and she wears what she likes.

Practicing my curtsey

When I found this skirt at the Goodwill store a few months ago, it was pretty much love at first sight. Yet I walked around the store with it for an hour debating whether to get it because, well, it was VERY granny-ish. I even put it back on the rack and watched as 2 other women at least three times my age checked it out, thus proving that it was indeed a granny skirt. But watching those two old biddies handle my skirt also made me realize that I HAD to have it. As soon as they put it back I leapt from my hiding place, snatched it back up, and hightailed it outta there.  And me and the granny skirt lived happily ever after.

Bottom line, don't be afraid to like what you like.
