And then there is the whole issue of pictures. I absolutely despise having my picture taken. Now before you start laughing and shaking your head in disbelief because I post tons of pictures of myself, let me explain. I take all those pictures myself. Which is totally different from having to try to pose in front of someone else, even if it just Brian. I have a major problem with being the center of attention. Having to open all the presents in front of everyone at my baby shower just about gave me an anxiety attack. At my last job, my co-workers would always point out how I would turn bright red if I had to talk in front of everyone. And when I was 19, I was scooped up by a model scout for Armani (and a few other designers) but despite being completely flattered, as soon as they stuck a camera in my face I froze up and I ended up walking out.
And as you can see from my awkward pose below, Giorgio would have never hired me anyway.

It goes without saying that an absurd amount of my closet comes from Target.
So onto the outfit, the leggings are new. I have never in my life wanted to wear leggings mainly because they reminded me of the 80's. That and whenever I see them worn as pants (meaning without something covering the behind) it makes me want to wash my eyes with bleach. But now I'm in love with leggings, mainly because now I can wear little skirts or dresses that I would normally only wear to the beach or the pool. The skirt I'm wearing is one that Brian bought me for my birthday a few years ago, I have a feeling I'm going to get a lot more mileage out of it now. And then, cardis and striped tanks are one of my wardrobe staples.
Anyway, wish me luck. I have a feeling I'm going to have a harder time doing this than I thought I would.
And does anyone have any Xanax I could borrow for the rest of the month?
But where are the boots? I thought you were going to show the boots you were going to wear every day for 30 days? :)
ReplyDeleteI am wearing the boots! You can't see them?
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea! It doesn't surprise me at all that you were scouted by Armani, you look totally model-esque! And with the boots... PULLING. IT. OFF. (That was a reference to How I Met Your Mother... if you don't get it just ignore me. LOL.) Love it! We should go thrifting on Friday afternoon or something, maybe Marly can come too! It would be fun to have a girls date :)
ReplyDeleteOh ... I can BARELY make out the boots. They're brown, right? And your leggings are black? Ok, well, then ... day 1 down and 29 more to go. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are such a super model! How come you never told us about that? Anyway, super cute outfit. I guess I need to go clothes shopping at Target more often:-)
ReplyDeleteGirl. I like it and don't feel like you have to blog everyday. Just save all the pics of your daily outfits and post them all at once one day a week, if everyday becomes to much. You can call it "What's cookin' good lookin' Wednesday" or "Fabooo Fridays: Outfits of the week staring THESE Awesome Boots!" and post all your outfits for the last 7 days. Just an idea, I should be in marketing or something.
ReplyDeleteTerrie, sorry!
ReplyDeleteJamie, YES! I'm completely converted to thrifting these days. Let's do it!
Marly, sorry. The topic of failed attempts at modeling has never come up or else I would have piped up.
Stephanie, I'm going to at least attempt to do a post a day. Only 29 more to go!
You are so cute, Shawna!
ReplyDeleteI love Target clothes!
I will wear leggings again one day, but for now, covered butt or not, no one wants to see this in those!
