A Giveaway! - Closed

There is a light at the end of the tunnel folks! Boot camp is almost over!
tank/cardigan/boot socks - Target, jeans - 7's, flower hair pins - Forever 21

About today's outfit. If you haven't noticed, the striped tank with a cardigan look is kinda a staple of mine. It's not until you take pictures of your outfits everyday that you realize how much you wear something, this will be the 4th time for me in 27 days. And while I really love grey and lime green together, I felt like this outfit was lacking. I went searching through my accessories and found these two flower hairpins and voila, instant outfit oomph. I guess sometimes you just have to get creative.

Anyway moving on. Yes folks, I am doing a giveaway! Consider it my way of saying thank you for sticking with me through all this boot camp craziness.

What am I giving away? So glad you asked!

Can I get a drumroll please?

  1. My first born wasn't named after you but shares your birthday which should count for double. I think pinterest has become my newest inspiration for outfits but you have been an inspiration for a long time. :)

  2. 1. My first born wasn't named after you, but it was before I knew you, so you can't blame me. However, I am totally up to getting your name tattooed on me!! Shall we say...next book club night??
    2. I am definitely a follower!
    3. My favorite boot camp post is the one about how you can't take pictures of yourself cause it's embarrassing and so you take the myspace pic instead. Which is awesome cause it doesn't show any of your clothes and I just love it. So funny! I have no fashion inspiration (besides you) and I think we can all tell. That's why we need to go shopping more!!!!!

  4. 1. Both my kids are boys, so Shawna wouldn't really work for either of them :(
    2. Even though I am just now a follower, I have been reading your blog for a while since you've been posting it on Facebook :)
    3. I love the post with the floral dress and leggings, cardigan and hat. It also had the picture of the difference between the way women used to dress back in the day and the way they dress today. I also get my inspiration from pinterest and more recently...you! I love all of your outfits!

  5. 1) I don't have any kids yet, so.. maybe in 10 years. Tattoo's: not so sure I feel appropriate going to the temple with a tattoo, let alone a female's name. I will babysit your first born though!

2)I've been a loyal follower that reads every single blog you post.

    3) I love overall your humor throughout your blogging, including the creativity you used to survive boot camp! Your outfits were great and you put some together that inspired me to do the same and see what I can come up with. You make me want to burn a hole in my pocket and go shopping, this will absolutely happen as soon as I get home.
    - Pinterest is great for any sort of inspiration, especially fashion, it's great!
-http://www.messycloset.com/community I found this website, not so sure if there's anything inspirational, but I thought you might like it simply because you can put up your own outfits and everyone can rate each other's.
-I also have this link. http://www.livejournal.com/interests.bml?int=being%20fashionable
There are several links (7) connected to it, including fashion for kids, so you can get ideas for yourself and Shye!
-The final one I have is a link to Mormon Fashion Bloggers, I love it! The first one on the list is Cats and Cardigans. The blogger actually owns my favorite fashion boutique down on Main Street here in Rexburg. She puts some great outfits together and I think you will enjoy your blogs as well as the others. http://www.clothedmuch.com/p/mormon-fashion-bloggers.html

    4. I love you :) and I'm a poor college student that needs to get some new outfits going

  6. 1. I'll totally name my first born after you. ;-)
(I mean, it's not like there's gonna be one, but if there was I would totally name the kid after you.)

    2. You know I'm already following you. On the blog and in real life.

    3. My favorite boot camp post was the Fond Farewell.

  7. My favorite post was a fond farwell. I LOVE that skirt (and BTW you didn't post where it was from). My biggest fashion inspiration is my friend Kellie who I met in PA. She used to be a Banana Republic manager and has AMAZING taste in clothes. If I ever wear anything cute it's usually because she gave it to me :)

  8. Okay here I will try and post again:

    1. My first born is 14 years old so I think she might have a problem if I change her name...I don't do tatoos but I would use a sharpie and you can decorate it.
    2. I have been following you through this whole boot camp...and I love your cute outfits.
    3. I loves your size doesn't matter post. I am fashion challenged and I think my daughters are as well. We should probably go with you next time you go thrifting!!!
This is Rebecca. I have to use the anonymous setting!!uggg

  9. My favorite post is Let's bring lady like back, that dress is really cute... love that outfit. Plus you could but other colored sweaters with it. It is also relevant to the way girls dress today. I adore that skirt in a fond farewell so cute.. I keep forgetting to tell you as much.

As it took David and I well over a year to get names picked out I can't change that. I did tattoo your name on my arm and took a pic to prove it. :D

As for inspiration Google images is awesome for ideas. I've been looking around at my surroundings for ideas with my cards... color schemes ...texture. I bet it applies with fashion as well.

  10. You want me to get a TATTOO???? Seriously? For a $25 target gift card? I love target just as much as you, but a TATTOO? What would the prophet say?

  11. Well, here's my comment so I can shop at Target without guilt.

My favorite Boot Camp post would have to be a toss up between November 10th and November 4th. I loved the outfit for the 10th- the color of your cardigan was beautiful with the rest of your outfit. I loved the commentary on the 4th because at first, having had that very thought of how to go about doing it, I thought you were giving me some advice on how to improve my wardrobe. My gullibility gave way to laughter because your words were so true. Thanks for helping me feel more fashionable vicariously!

  12. And PS I have you on my RSS feed- does that count for following?

  13. Oh and the first born is a boy and seven, so Shawna just won't work for him. Sorry.

  14. Well, let’s see. I’ve been your follower for a long time, long before facebook or blogs were in the picture. In fact I’ve realize during boot camp how much of my fashion sense has come from you.

My favorite post was "haters going to hate" I made my hater husband read it.

As far as inspiration goes I like to look at the Anthropology catalogue. I love their stuff.

I buy almost everything at Target too

  15. 1. I hope my word is good enough on this demand ;)
    2. Check.
    3. My favorite source of inspiration is seeing what everyone wears around my college campus- there is such a diverse array of style which provides endless ideas!

& My main reason for commenting- I love that cardigan and you look divine in the color! Have a lovely tuesday!

  16. And the tatoo thing, its already been done. Remember?????

  17. 1. Done. I think he will be such a cute little Shawna. You might need to do a little convincing with Aaron. I also might be up for tattooing your name somewhere...
    2. I'll follow you anywhere
    3. I loved the post about sizes, bringing classy back, and your new hat!

  18. Um I've been following you for like forever now..and I think today's post was my all time FAV because I'm madly in love with Mustard. It's just the greatest color in all the land!

  19. 1. My first born is gonna be a boy so no go on the name there. Though we still haven't settled on a middle name. However, I am willing to promise his first kiss to your Shye Shye. :)
    2. I am a follower HI_YA!
    3. Well my favorite fashion inspiration has always beeen you girl of course, I am not just saying that to win, well maybe a little. But seriously you have always dressed awesome and now I am wearing some of your preggo clothes. :) And you look so hot after having a baby. So I always wanted to look as good as Shawna prepregoo, while preggo, and post preggo.

My fav posts have been, The self-portrait because it is spunky and Mad for plaid
beacause it is serious and hot!

  20. Well since my first born was a boy and he's 3 1/2, not gonna happen. And I really don't think the Lord would look too favorably on me if I got a tatoo. ;o) Good try though!

I've been following you from the beginning.

And I my favorite post is November 5th. Though I'm hugely not a fan of leggings or jeggings or anything like that, I LOVE that outfit. and the boot socks really aren't too bad. If I were to ever get any boots, I'd have to look into them. As for fashion advice, I'm the last person you want giving you advice. So not fashionable. :o) But I've been getting better lately.

Love ya girlie! Wish you lived closer...P.S. I'm in the same church building as your mom for a few months. We live out at Kylann's dad's place in Marana right now. Next time you come visit, please let me know!

    2. I'll go officially follow you after I finish this

Thank you in advance for picking me! I'll buy you something with when I get my gift card!
