Dress like a Granny, Part 2

Who the heck invented side slit pockets? They are an abomination! Gah! I suppose they probably are more flattering on women who have no hips, but for the rest of us they are not flattering at all.

Eek! We have a situation here.

Sweater - Target, cami - Ann Taylor, skirt - thrifted, belt - Forever 21, necklace - Forever 21

The skirt was part of my recent thrift store haul. It is another granny skirt. How do I know? It has elastic in the back of the waist band. Only kids clothes and granny clothes have elasticized waists. :)  I'm planning to sew down (who am I kidding? I will probably use the iron-on adhesive stuff) the pockets so that they lay flat. But for now I'm just covering them up with a longer top.
