Splash Pad Review: Provo Pioneer Park

Happy Friday! Happy weekend! Happy splash pad day!

Earlier week I babysat Shye's little cousin Kimberly and I thought that they would enjoy a splash pad outing. WRONG! I realized on this outing that it isn't possible for me to have any more children because in addition to sprouting at least three more arms, I would also need to clone myself so that I could be in two places at once. As soon as I set them down they were like magnets, the kind that repel each other. They took off running in opposite directions. Kimberly didn't like the water at all. She cried and kept trying to escape to the playground. Shye of course loves the water, but she cried when I made her leave so that we could let Kimberly play at the playground for a little bit. I could not keep them both happy. I give mad props to any mother with two or more children. I felt like a complete loony.

But onto the actual splash pad itself. The location is great. Lots of big leafy trees and shade and plenty of places to sit. There is also a playground right next to the splash pad if the kids get bored with the water or don't want to get wet at all. My favorite thing about this splash pad is that the fountains are much smaller than most splash pads which is great for smaller kids. Also, every Saturday is the Provo Farmer's Market, so you can go peruse the local produce or have a waffle from the waffle truck and let the kids get soaked at the splash pad.

This really is a nice splash pad despite these pictures. Oh well, better luck next time.
