An outfit post. Finally.
I actually packed all my clothes for moving last week. Big mistake. I've since had to unpack and repack them about four times since then. Because I am an emotional dresser like that.
Anyway, this outfit was inspired by, wait for it, a picture I saw on Pinterest.
Sometimes I wonder how I even got dressed before I found Pinterest.

And here is my interpretation.

| top - Ann Taylor, skirt - thrifted, shoes - Kohls, necklace - made by my mom |
I loved these colors together. But as a whole, I think the outfit was lacking. It needed a belt, or a scarf, or a big statement necklace, or perhaps a dead animal draped over my shoulder.
Also, lets talk about arms for a second. I mean, they are great and all but why is that every time someone points a camera in my direction that my arms suddenly feel like foreign objects to me? I don't know what to do with them. Let them just hang there awkwardly? Should I start using props? Is there such a thing as smizing for your arms? Where is Tyra when I need her?
p.s. I've linked up to the Pleated Poppy and Real Momma, Real Style. Check it.

So cute! I love those colors to, I could make some awesome stuff with that photo. We should do a mini blog hop based off a picture. :D I'd say something orange or light pink.. flower broach, belt that would really tie it all together. That necklace is stunning.
ReplyDeleteYou did look super cute at church in that outfit...and you always look beautiful. I want to get a necklace from your mom!!! she is super talented!!
ReplyDeleteCute outfit! By the way, I'm a photographer so I pose people for a living and I still don't know what to do with my own arms when I'm getting my picture taken. I think it has to do with not being able to see what you look like so you don't know what to do.
