Cheap Thrills

Once upon a time, I thought that $100 for a pair of shoes was a fair deal and $50 was a straight-up steal.
That was Before Children, hereafter known as BC.
Yes, I did say children. You see, most people don't know but Brian and I actually had two babies last May. The first one is our beloved, sweet, little Shye-shye.
Our second and not-so-beloved baby is Brian's grad school loans, which oh-so conveniently came due just a few days after Shye was born.
Needless to say, we definitely have a favorite child.

After Children (aka AC) my spending habits were severely curtailed. I've since had to learn to enjoy the cheaper things in life.
Here are some of my favorites.

After complaining to my hairdresser about how expensive shampoo and conditioner was,
she told me to try this stuff.
At $2 a bottle, it's probably the best cheap hair care product.

Clear American, it's the tastiest thing 68 cents can buy.

This $3 glue gun from WalMart has seen me through many crafting projects.

What could be better finding a pair of shoes that you've been searching for FOREVER for $10?

Except maybe getting this pair for free because it was buy one get one free.
Yep, two pairs of shoes for $10.

How about you? What are your favorite cheap things?

  1. I LOVE Suave! And coming from a hairstylist/former hair product snob, that is really saying something! :)

  4. I am the same way. I used to shop at Express, get my shoes from Nordstrom, buy Aveda hair products. Not so much anymore. I love the Suave products. I use the exact same kind as you!
