Party like it's the end of the world

I must admit, mine and Brian's idea of partying usually means cracking open an ice cold Dr. Pepper and watching an episode or two of Deadliest Catch (I have a major crush on Jake on the Northwestern and I'm pretty sure Brian and Sig are long lost twins). And since sleeping is a top priority in the Faye household, staying up late means like 11pm. Needless to say, we are usually comatose during the annual ringing in of the New Year. But this year my mom (who is a huge New Years Eve fanatic and an insomniac) and my little sister came out to visit, so I knew that sleeping was not going to be an acceptable way to celebrate the New Year.  I bought a few bottles of sparkling grape juice and a few appetizers and I figured that we would make a night of it. But one thing led to another and the next thing I know I'm hosting a full-on New Years Eve shindig.

  1. Okay from that picture of Cheyenne and Brian - they don't look alike at all! But I swear that she is still a spitting image of him as a baby =)

  2. I wish I would have gotten your text sooner! I tried to "throw a party" but after about five minutes, Claire was passed out and Josh was bored to death. I think he was kind of bummed when I checked my phone after midnight and saw you texted me. Haha. My new years resolution is to keep my phone handy. Glad you guys had fun! Cheyenne looks so happy!!

  4. What a cute party! We did an impromtu party as well since our plans were canceled due to a sick kiddo. It was fun and I realized I am a terrible dancer, but at least my kids are young enough to not care (yet).

I am also a Deadliest Catch addict. I don't know what it is, but I watched that show religiously for many nights.
