Lately my thought process has been slightly jumbled. Since I can't seem to put a coherent blog post together, here are some of the random thoughts that have been floating through my head lately.
- We started Shye on soy formula yesterday. That stuff smells like abomination in a bottle. (Shye has had an incurable diaper rash for a while, I've tried different diapers, wipes, and every cream to no avail. We think it might be a food allergy.)
- I started a juice fast today. Brian and I watched the documentary Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead last week and I was so inspired that I decided to a 10 juice fast. I even got my friend Stacey to hop onto the crazy train with me.
- I've taken two friends on shopping trips recently and talked them into colored denim. I'm sure their husbands just LOVE me.
- I was one of those who groaned when Meryl Streep won AGAIN. Seriously? I mean, I love Meryl but every year I see so many great performances from other actresses that go unnoticed but somehow she gets nominated just about every other year. Can the Academy please realize that there are other talented actresses out there?
- Emma Stone is my newest girl crush. She just killed me during the Oscars: "Jonah get up here! Dance with me, dance with me." Can I please be besties with her?
- Octavia Spencer may have earned her Oscar but she got darn lucky that Christian Bale was the one who presented it to her. Can I please trade places with her?
- I love Californians. Earthquakes don't rattle them (pun obviously intended) but a few cloudy days and a little rain has everyone acting like its the end of the world.
- I have never lived anywhere where more time is devoted to the weather portion of the news, even though the weather here in SoCal is highly predictable. Maybe it's because their forecaster looks like this:
I love my green jeans! Aaron gave me a dirty look when I showed them to him. he says "thanks!"
ReplyDeleteLol, I always tell Aaron that everywhere else that I have lived (all of which actually have weather) always had men as the weather forecasters. These girls are a little ridiculous. There must me a cup size requirement on their application.

oh my goodness I love Emma Stone. I'm so bummed I didn't get to watch the whole Oscars! Meryl Streep is def overrated, it is cool though how she poked fun at herself about it in her speech :) ANd um Wowwww that weather forecaster is absolutely ridiculous!

ReplyDeleteI was thinking that about Meryl, too. Until I really stopped to think about the fact that it's been THIRTY YEARS since she won an Oscar and she has been in a lot of really amazing movies.

And I really wish I could have been Octavia for those three seconds.
And a juice fast sounds hard.
I have been thinking about doing a juice fast too especially after the junk I ate this week. I want to clear the body out. You should try plain kefir to clear up her rash. Probiotics will help a lot and possibly eliminating wheat if she is eating it. My friend's child is going through the same thing and they eliminated wheat and dairy (except plain kefir or yogurt). Anyway she may be already better since this post was a while ago:)
