Last week our little playgroup went to Gardener Village for their annual Witchfest. I was expecting it to be kinda kitschy and well, it was, a little. But I liked it, okay?! And considering Shye's reaction to Goofy at Disneyland I was worried that Shye might be freaked out by all the witches but luckily she didn't seem fazed at all. So we went on a witch hunt! It's basically a scavenger hunt to find all the witches in the village and when you're done you present your completed list at the village bakery for a free cookie! Fine, the cookie actually costs 35 cents. But that's basically free, right? Because in my mind anything under a dollar is pretty much free. (Did you hear that? Somewhere Brian is smacking his forehead in frustration since we have a monthly argument about our budget and money in general.) All in all it was fun way to spend the afternoon. It definitely got me in the mood for Halloween.

| Getting serious about hunting these witches. |

| Ok, maybe she was a little scared. |
Now I just need to watch Practical Magic which is my favorite Fall/Halloween movie. Do you have a favorite Halloween movie?
That's so cute! What a fun day!
ReplyDeleteAnd, yeah, Brian doesn't know what he's talking about. If it's under a dollar, it's TOTALLY free.
I remember going to Gardner Village I lived in Utah. Such a cute place (and we always got candy at the end of the visit, which may have been why I liked it.) I never went during Halloween, but those witches are so cute.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun thing to do! Good old Utah :-) I agree, anything under a dollar is free.
