Witchfest!

Last week our little playgroup went to Gardener Village for their annual Witchfest. I was expecting it to be kinda kitschy and well, it was, a little. But I liked it, okay?! And considering Shye's reaction to Goofy at Disneyland I was worried that Shye might be freaked out by all the witches but luckily she didn't seem fazed at all. So we went on a witch hunt! It's basically a scavenger hunt to find all the witches in the village and when you're done you present your completed list at the village bakery for a free cookie! Fine, the cookie actually costs 35 cents. But that's basically free, right? Because in my mind anything under a dollar is pretty much free. (Did you hear that? Somewhere Brian is smacking his forehead in frustration since we have a monthly argument about our budget and money in general.) All in all it was fun way to spend the afternoon. It definitely got me in the mood for Halloween.

Getting serious about hunting these witches.

Ok, maybe she was a little scared.

Now I just need to watch Practical Magic which is my favorite Fall/Halloween movie. Do you have a favorite Halloween movie?

  1. That's so cute! What a fun day!

And, yeah, Brian doesn't know what he's talking about. If it's under a dollar, it's TOTALLY free.

  2. I remember going to Gardner Village I lived in Utah. Such a cute place (and we always got candy at the end of the visit, which may have been why I liked it.) I never went during Halloween, but those witches are so cute.
