Yes, really. I think it's time. Shye is getting to be so independent I feel like I can finally take on another one. (Knock on wood.)
A couple of special requests though. First, please don't make us go through a year of trying like you did last time. I mean, make it long enough that it is fun ;) but short enough that I don't feel like my body has failed me as a woman. That is an emotional roller coaster ride that I can live without.
Another thing, we don't care whether its a girl or a boy. I mean it. Surprise us. Under no circumstances should this be misinterpreted as a request for one of each. No twins. NO TWINS. Got that? A boy would be great because then it would finally take the pressure off Brian to have a son so that he could pass on the made-up name of his father's adoptive parents. (Brian's dad was adopted by a couple with an Italian name Favazza, since no one could ever pronounce it right Brian' grandfather changed it to Faye.) It would also spare me the pity of all those who think boys are better. But a girl, oh how we've loved having a girl! So another one would fit right in and Shye would be great with a little sister. Also I've also noticed that it seems like everyone is either having all boys or all girls, so if that is the case bring on the girls!
And finally, boy or girl, can I get a child that is slightly less intense this time? One that likes to take naps until they are at least two? And how about some hair...like, before 12 months old? Make it curly again please, I'm a sucker for curly haired babies. Also, I would like a baby that likes to cuddle for more than .7 seconds at a time.

DeleteHaha. I sort of feel the way you do. At this point, it is a matter of practicality. Now that we are moving, I am just not ready to introduce that kind of stress into my life yet. Even though I am sort of into being fit and active at the moment, and I can't quite picture sharing my love with another baby, I do miss being pregnant and having a newborn around. I had a dream last night that I had a newborn baby boy but I had to take care of him all by myself and no one was helping me. I had to go to Target the day he was born with him in a sling and I was tired. Also, I think I was a surrogate mother because the baby was really blonde and didn't look like mine. Weird.

DeleteI'm impressed that you are ready for another one. It took me about 5 years to think I could do it again. Granted by that time I was so baby hungry it was all I could ever think about.
ReplyDeleteI know. Up until about a month ago I swore I wasn't going to have another until Shye was 10. But then, all of a sudden, the baby hunger just hit me like a brick wall.
DeleteGood luck! It took us about 9 months to get pregnant the first time and this time...first cycle. Hopefully you get to have a little more fun... ;)

DeleteI may need to send a similar letter to the universe. Jamen is really doing a number on me as a toddler. I think he really wants to be the youngest, but I would like to have one more. We'll see what happens.
