You Start It, I'll Finish It

Mother Nature and I are not exactly getting along these days. And yes, she totally started it.
First off, there's this blasted heat which is totally inexcusable...unless she is actually trying to kill us all. No wait, even then it's still inexcusable.
Secondly, every time I wear a skirt Mother Nature gets all like, "oh no, she didn't" and sends down gale force winds. True story. On Saturday I had an outfit post planned but the winds were so bad that I thought for sure that our entire town was about to be transported to Oz.
It was time to show Mother Nature who's boss.  Not only would I wear a skirt, but a wrap skirt at that. You know, the kind of skirt that tends catch the lightest breeze and unexpectedly blow open at the most inopportune times? (Or very opportune times, depending on who you are asking ;) And to top it all off, I would fix my hair. Which currently is a semi-annual event...just like the Victoria's Secret sales. (Which just happens to be going on right now. What a coincidence!)
And you know what? It worked! Mother Nature totally played nice today.

top - H&M, skirt - Old Navy, shoes - F21

And can I take a moment to say yay for skirt pockets?
My arms and hands are totally camera shy and act so dumb in pictures. Seriously, I'm embarrassed to even be seen with them. Having pockets gives them somewhere to hide. Which is nice because I was beginning to consider using props.

I'm linking up the What I Wore Wednesday. Check it out!

  3. Ha, at least it's just your hands and arms. My whole body rebels at the sight of a camera.

Love pocket skirts, and I second Jamie on your style!

  4. I too feel so unnatural in front of the camera! You look cute and natural though. I love that Old Navy skirt. Is it this season? I'll have to go look!
