Ok, so I took the project 52 challenge and set 52 goals for the year.
I thought it might be time for an update on my progress so far.
I've tried two new new recipes so far and the score stands at one win and one loss.
The first week I made pesto pizza and it was delicious.
Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of it.
I got a little cocky after that and tried to make falafel pitas with tzatziki sauce the next week.
It was a disaster.
I got the measurements wrong, it was too salty, it fell apart when I tried to fry the patties and I couldn't seem to get the frying time down right.
Not knowing how awful they were I went ahead assembled the pitas and took a picture.
The tzatziki sauce was great but the falafel was awful.
After a few bites and gallons of water later Brian and both trashed our pitas.
This is literally the first piece of furniture Brian and I have ever bought.
Yep, he is 29 and I'm 27. Sad, I know.
Yep, he is 29 and I'm 27. Sad, I know.
These are few of my favorites.
And for some non-picture updates.
- I'm almost finished with Anna Karenina.
- I've been working out 3x per week (except for when I was sick, but that doesn't count.)
- Brian and I have watched two movies together so far, Eclipse and the Social Network.
For being less than three weeks into January I feel like I'm doing pretty good so far.
Maybe, I can kick back and take it easy for a few weeks here. :)

You are doing so great, Shawna! Those cards are adorable. I think after I tutor you on some blogging stuff, you should tutor me on card making. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you made 20 cards in one afternoon! Great job on your goals. I guess I should probably do an update.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog via the Project 52 thing. The cards you made are absolutely adorable! So cute!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the book shelf! I know how you feel. Most of my furniture was hand me downs for a long time and the first time I bought real furniture, I felt so 'grown up'! Cheers
I have an awesome falafel in pita recipe with a yummy guacamole to go with it. I'll email it to you! And I agree with Karen, the cards are adorable. Totally jealous of that talent!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Bummer that the falafels didn't turn out well, but good job for trying! Those are great cards. Do you give them out for birthday gifts? I understand the excitement of the furniture. My husband and I just bought our living room set and it's so exciting to finally get rid of our old hand me downs.
ReplyDeleteCute cards =) However, I LOVE the bookshelf! Don't you just love IKEA? And I think it's great how your Twilight Series gets the dead center shelf!
