Whadda week

Man. Vacations are hard to recover from. This week has been a blur of laundry to catch up on, sleep schedules thrown off (Shye decided to start napping again and believe it or not, it's been terrible!), errands to run, friends to catch up with, aaaand repacking because I'm heading out of town again on Monday, this time to AZ for two weeks. Why am I leaving all the gorgeous fall foliage here in Utah for a still blazing hot Arizona? Because I'm nuts. And also because I have a brand new nephew to cuddle and my not-so-little sister is turning 16 on the 22nd. And so, my expertise in baby snuggles and sisterly advice is desperately needed down there. Desperately I tell you.

In other news Shye, when she isn't being as cranky as crap with her new sleeping patterns, cracks me up on a daily basis. She is SO into her herself. If there is a reflective surface around she will find it and proceed to make faces at herself and do all kinds of poses. She spends hours in front of the mirror singing, playing, and jabbering away to herself. And her dress-up routine in front of the mirror is comical. She loves piling on necklaces, sunglasses, and hats and then coming to me and getting my approval. She makes this little smirk whenever she is particularly proud of her ensemble.

 This monster hat very nearly came home with us because, well, just look at that face.

And so, happy weekend friends! I'll post when I can while I'm down in AZ, but since my mom literally lives out in the middle of nowhere the internet can be a bit spotty. Try not to miss me too much.
