Guys, I've been in a funk. I'm pretty sure I have SAD...Soooo-over August Disorder. I get this way every year in August. I hate August. I always feel so uninspired, so unmotivated, so bored in August. I'm over the heat. I'm over summer. There aren't any summer holidays left, what's point of August anyway?
No really, let's get rid of it.
I know that it is one of those cliche blogger things to be excited about fall but it's true, I'm sooooo ready for fall. I'm looking forward to looking forward to actually getting dressed again, I've seriously been living in my swimsuit this summer. I'm looking forward to not risking third degree burns every time I get into my car. I'm looking forward to going on leaf peeping drives up the canyons here. I'm looking forward to pumpkin flavored cookies, pancakes, muffins, bread, milkshakes, cheesecake, ice cream, and pretty much everything else that can be pumpkin flavored. Am I forgetting anything?
Oh yeah, and I'm maybe, sort of, just a teensy little bit excited about fall fashion. Here are few things that I've been daydreaming about while sweating away in the sauna that is my house.

Let's start with boots. Nothing, I mean, NOTHING gets me more excited about fall than boots. I'll take one of each please.
I know, I know, fall usually is the time to break out the big chunky statement jewlery pieces (the bubble necklace is THE hottest thing right now apparently), but this year I've been really loving the minimalist jewlery look.
Floral: it's not just a spring print anymore. The floral rain boots are just killing me.
I was converted to leggings last year and I'm hoping to grow my teeny-tiny leggings collection with a few more untraditional pairs this fall. Hellooooo leather leggings!
And last but not least, me and polka dots have been having a love affair all year and we are still going strong this fall.
See you soon fall!

Yeah i'm with you i hate the end of summer can't wait for fall.Love the polka dot jeans, need more pictures of my favorite toddler soon
ReplyDeleteThere will be pictures of the beast soon. Don't worry.
DeleteLeather leggings? I dare you.
ReplyDeleteHehehe! Done! Believe it or not but the leather leggings were the only item in this post that Brian was ok with. Weird, huh?
DeleteNo, that actually doesn't surprise me ;)
DeleteSome of us have birthdays in August, getting rid of it out is out of the question. I will get on board and ask to get rid of the heat.
ReplyDeleteI could settle for that. :)
DeleteI adore summer. I basically tolerate the rest of the year.
ReplyDeleteAnd you call yourself my friend?
Deleteokay, this just made me really happy! where did you find all these gems? especially all those boots and delicate jewelry pieces!
