September is my month. Everybody has a month that just jibes with them and for me it has always been September. All the back to school stuff makes my inner nerd squeal in delight. The mountains here start turning red and gold. The crisp morning air that blows through the house is a welcome reprieve from stifling summer temperatures. And then there's soup weather, glorious rainy, drizzly, chilly soup weather. Starbucks brings their pumpkin spice frappe back. Costco starts selling their enormous pumpkin pies. Basically there's pumpkin stuff everywhere and that can never be a bad thing, right? A few of my dearest friends have September birthdays. And I found out I was pregnant with Shye on a September day which permanently cemented September's rank amongst my favorite months.
This September is no different. I can't help but feel like something great is about to happen. There is a certain excitement in the air that is giving me a constant fluttery feeling in my stomach. Maybe it's just wishful thinking but I keep getting the impression that all the pieces of our life that kinda fell apart this past year are slowly falling back into place. There have been a few promising job interviews. Which, if Brian does get hired, would mean we would be able to get our own place. And while we are wishing here, maybe a baby too. It's all very exciting and I hope I'm not jinxing anything by posting about it. :)
Anyway, my friend Catherine invited to go raspberry picking with her playgroup last week. It was a gorgeous day and the raspberry patch couldn't have been any more picturesque. Shye didn't really understand exactly what we were doing or why I kept taking her picture. She was more interested in playing on the John Deere tractor. That girl is something else.

So stick around September, we kinda like you.
I feel the same way about June. September is a goregous month, though. And those berries look divine!
